The exposition about super-spiders, which eventually give Peter his powers, unfolds in the background during a school trip, as he finds excuses to take MJ’s picture. When the film begins, each key scene is built around Peter’s gaze. However, Spider-Man is also a story about how Peter Parker gives up the girl in the end.
